David Gosse – CEO & Co Founder

David Gosse is the chief innovator and business architect, overseeing all operations and development for the company.  Over 7 years ago, David envisioned a customizable vertical search engine before the terms "portal" or "vortal” (vertical market portal) were ever coined.  David has directed on the boards of numerous companies and is multi-talented in numerous business areas from human resources to IT.  David is a tireless and dedicated entrepreneur, who has co-founded and built several companies.   David invented, authored and oversaw the development of the two patent-pending algorithms that power the customizable search engine technology unique to Vortaloptics™ and its clients. He has been the lead visionary of the company since its inception and is committed to bringing the remarkable technology to market by the best and most profitable means.

Anita Rothgiesser – Vice President

Graduating with a BSc Hons degree in Textile Physics from Leeds University in England, Anita and has worked in the textile industry for over 15 years in South Africa and Canada.  Her experience is extensive, ranging from technical production to technical customer support to sales and eventually the retail industry.  Over the years she gained considerable experience dealing with customers and suppliers on a worldwide basis and travelled extensively in Europe, North America and the Far East to further her knowledge and experience. In the technical area she worked for a subsidiary of ICI in Cape Town and was responsible for quality control and successful managed the laboratory staff to ensure this. She also travelled to customer’s facilities throughout South Africa to analyse their production problems. As a sales executive for a texile agency she needed to accurately know her customer’s business in order to select the right products to present and sell to them. Lastly her experience in the retail sector was as Woven Fabric Technologist for the large international chain with over 100 stores in Canada alone. Her responsibility was to determined the fabric trends, the sources and quality and negotiate contracts for the buyers to ensure a quality end product. To this end she had laboratory and quality controllers working for her.  During this period she successfully improved the quality of the supply base, vastly reduced faulty deliveries and hence improved sales and reduced returns from customers. For the last 14 years she has changed her career and developed her knowledge in the business and financial areas. She has completed tax, computer and securities courses and has knowledge of some accounting software.  She has been involved with the company for over 3 years and during this period has been the main contact for all the shareholders and instrumental in organizing the records plus has assumed several other duties to assist the CEO, David  Gosse including successfully raising investment income for the company. Recently she also took on the responsibility of Treasurer and Secretary of WeAreNetwork.  

Jennifer Gosse – Vice President of Marketing

Jennifer has helped to develop and manage several companies. Past roles include VP Business Development at Personal Research Corporation of New York, where she was instrumental in growing its customer base and revenues through national TV and internet marketing campaigns. Prior to joining Vortaloptics™ and WeAreNetwork™, she held management positions in marketing and customer relationship management at consumer advocacy and internet organizations. Her diverse responsibilities at Vortaloptics™ include sales channel development, creating partnerships with marketing, distribution and technology firms, product development, establishing and maintaining the corporate brand, establishing online marketing campaigns, public relations, maintaining customer and prospect communications, strategic planning and market research. Jennifer strives to keep a pulse on the ever-changing technology market, making sure that the direction of the company continues to satisfy the needs of its target audience of businesses and consumers.  

Michael Winters – Chief Technology Officer

Michael Winters has over 20 years experience in consulting, systems integration, sales engineering, and software/product development. Michael has worked in a sales environment for many years at Sprint as the lead IT Engineer responsible for Sprint’s entire backbone west of the Mississippi. Michael helped to facilitate tens of millions of dollars in revenue for Sprint through diverse sales channels.  Michael was also the lead engineer for the nation’s leading disaster recovery datacenter in Las Vegas NV.  In his role as VP of Corporate Development, Michael works with the management team to select new strategic business opportunities, strategic alliances, and also lead technology innovations.


Allan Utz Treasurer

An engineer, Allan held a management position with a major automotive manufacturer where he focused on cost and quality improvements in operations.  Holding a degree in Industrial Engineering, Allan has extensive experience in analyzing business scenarios and providing data mining services.  Allan has been the mastermind behind numerous financial business case projections for the expansion of the company and specific operational improvements for the implementation of its search technology. Allan also assists with the development of business channel modeling and patentable technology development.


Brian ParksIT Manager

A Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Manager specialist, Brian has over 10 years of ecommerce-centered Web and graphic design experience. He has integrated numerous front and back-end systems into multi-tiered database environments.  Brian personally oversees client installation and support to ensure the highest of quality and client satisfaction.  He specializes in ITIL based support systems and is an expert in Web-based training and webinar technologies bringing a wealth of classroom-style teaching experience to the WeAreNetwork™ team.
