Our mission is to build a global online network of high quality websites
to connect people, businesses and communities with the best local and topic-specific
information online.
What We Do
WeAreNetwork™ is building a large uniform network of local community-focused
websites which will provide consumers a convenient one-stop place to find whatever
information they need about their local area; weather, maps, news, events,
articles, video, and links to popular website tools. We keep advertising dollars in the
community where most other local search companies take it out of
the community. How? Our websites are designed to be run by local entrepreneurs
who are active members of their communities. They make their living from their
WAN businesses, spend their money in the community, as well as support local
charity, sports teams, and events. Most of our competitors are large corporations
run out of distant cities with no interest or presence in the communities they
sell to. When local businesses spend money with them to advertise online, the
money has left the community. WeAreNetwork™ is also developing topic-specific
websites to serve a number of common-interest groups.
A significant feature of the websites is the powerful Vortaloptics™ search
engine technology which allows users to search for specific products and services
by simply typing in key words. At the same time, it allows the website administrator
to have instant control over positioning and information displayed. It is one
of the most powerful and innovative search engine software tools available.
The WeAreNetwork system provides exceptional value to all constituents by:

Our Team
WeAreNetwork, Inc. (WAN) is a majority-owned subsidiary of Vortaloptics Inc.,
a privately held, Nevada-based corporation. WAN’s highly experienced
and qualified team of staff and consultants is led by its founder and president,
David Gosse.
David Gosse – CEO & Co Founder
David Gosse is
the chief innovator and business architect, overseeing all operations and development
for the company. Over 7 years ago, David envisioned a customizable vertical
search engine before the terms "local search", "portal" or "vortal” (vertical
market portal) were ever coined. David invented, authored and oversaw
the development of the two patent-pending algorithms that power the customizable
search engine technology unique to Vortaloptics™ and its clients. David
has directed on the boards of numerous companies and is multi-talented in numerous
business areas from human resources to IT. David is
a tireless and dedicated entrepreneur, who has co-founded and built several
companies including WeAreNetwork™, Property Centric™, Educated
Search™, and Vortaloptics™. He has been the lead visionary
of the company since its inception and is committed to bringing the remarkable
technology to market by the best and most profitable means.
Robert Gentile – Vice President & Co Founder
Responsible for expanding WeAreNetwork™ throughout North America, Robert
has a number of years experience in corporate, entrepreneurial, and political
environments. As the Chief Financial Officer of the Ontario Liberal Party -
the current governing political party in the province of Ontario - Robert oversees
and ensures the party’s compliance with the provinces’ stringent
elections finances legislation. An entrepreneur, Robert established Wellnesspro
Marketing, a public relations and marketing service that is pioneering the
testing of direct response television and internet marketing for the Canadian
natural health care sector. As Manager of eCommerce Solutions with the Canada
Post Corporation, Robert worked with high profile accounts such as Indigo Books & Music
and Chapters.ca to enhance their online service. Robert spent five and a half
years with multi-national pharmaceutical companies Warner-Lambert Co. and Pfizer,
leading innovative initiatives in various roles including field sales, major
account management, and in-store marketing. Robert holds an economics degree
from Queen’s University as well as a Business Administration & Marketing
Diploma from St. Lawrence College.
Jennifer Gosse – Vice President of Marketing
Jennifer has
helped to develop and manage several companies. Past roles include VP Business
Development at Personal Research Corporation of New York, where she was instrumental
in growing its customer base and revenues through national TV and internet
marketing campaigns. Prior to joining Vortaloptics™ and WeAreNetwork™,
she held management positions in marketing and customer relationship management
at consumer advocacy and internet organizations. Her diverse responsibilities
at Vortaloptics™ include sales channel development, creating partnerships
with marketing, distribution and technology firms, product development, establishing
and maintaining the corporate brand, establishing online marketing campaigns,
public relations, maintaining customer and prospect communications, strategic
planning and market research. Jennifer strives to keep a pulse on the ever-changing
technology market, making sure that the direction of the company continues
to satisfy the needs of its target audience of businesses and consumers.
Jean-Marc La Flamme – Director
of Product Development
Jean-Marc is a renaissance professional in the WWW business. With experience as a multilingual Web Producer, Strategist, Marketer and Creative, Jean-Marc brings extensive knowledge and next generation ideas to his projects. His client side production management and marketing career has included working with pioneers such as Yahoo!, Expedia and WestJet. Recently he has also worked the agency side as an Account Director with leading interactive firm Rare Method.
Michael Winters – Chief Technology Officer
Michael Winters has over 20 years experience in consulting, systems integration,
sales engineering, and software/product development. Michael has worked in
a sales environment for many years at Sprint as the lead IT Engineer responsible
for Sprint’s entire backbone west of the Mississippi. Michael helped
to facilitate tens of millions of dollars in revenue for Sprint through diverse
sales channels. Michael was also the lead engineer for the nation’s
leading disaster recovery datacenter in Las Vegas NV. In his role
as VP of Corporate Development, Michael works with the management team
to select new strategic business opportunities, strategic alliances, and also
lead technology innovations.
Allan Utz – Treasurer
An engineer, Allan held a management position with a major automotive manufacturer
where he focused on cost and quality improvements in operations. Holding
a degree in Industrial Engineering, Allan has extensive experience in
analyzing business scenarios and providing data mining services. Allan
has been the mastermind behind numerous financial business case projections
for the expansion of the company and specific operational improvements for
the implementation of its search technology. Allan also assists with the development
of business channel modeling and patentable technology development.
Brian Parks – IT Manager
A Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Manager specialist, Brian has
over 10 years of ecommerce-centered Web and graphic design experience. He has
integrated numerous front and back-end systems into multi-tiered database environments. Brian
personally oversees client installation and support to ensure the highest of
quality and client satisfaction. He specializes in ITIL based support
systems and is an expert in Web-based training and webinar technologies bringing
a wealth of classroom-style teaching experience to the WeAreNetwork™ team.
Jeff Bridgman – Sales & Training
Manager
Jeff leads the early stage business development of numerous Vortaloptics™ and
WeAreNetwork™ direct sales channels as well as assisting in client relations. Responsible
for franchisee training and support, Jeff works closely with franchisees and
corporate site managers to help facilitate their business success. Jeff has
a background in finance, business and customer service. Graduating with a degree
in Economics, Jeff left a premium hotel resort to work for a Toronto clearing
house where he was responsible for millions of dollars in client
accounts and maintaining positive client relations. Capitalizing on his interpersonal
skills, sales talents and passion for helping others through business, Jeff
loves to get great results for his clients. |
