Step 6: Taking the Next Steps
Steps to Becoming a Franchise Owner
1. Inquiry
If you think WeAreNetwork™ may be right for you, we invite you to take
the first step in our process by filling out the confidential
information request form. Once we receive your information, and if we feel
we may be the right match for your needs, someone from our Franchise Development
team will be in contact to provide you with additional information and take
you through the qualification process. Before submitting the form, we encourage
you to carefully review the ideal franchisee qualities listed in the Getting
Qualified section.
2. We Get to Know More About You
Using the information you provided in the confidential form, we will make an
initial assessment to see if there may be a fit between your goals and our
system. If we feel there is not, we’ll be up front and tell you. If we
feel there may be potential, the next step is for you to tell us more about
yourself . You will be asked to fill in a Confidential Questionnaire so we can
better determine suitability. This step may also involve an initial interview.
WeAreNetwork™ is not just about selling online ads and franchises – we’re
about creating successful franchisees, and that goal starts with a careful
selection process.
3. You Get to Know More About Us
If after reviewing your Confidential Questionnaire, we determine that there
may be a fit, we will send you our Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC)
in the U.S., or our Disclosure Document (Ontario & Alberta, Canada),
as well as our Franchise Agreement.
4. Review UFOC or Disclosure Document & Franchise
Agreement
During this step, our representatives will work closely with you to review
the UFOC, Franchise Agreement and answer any questions that you have.
5. Due Diligence
This is the time when you find out all that you can about WeAreNetwork™ to
determine if it’s the right direction for you. We encourage you to have
your attorney and accountant review our documents so you will be adequately
advised. Speaking with any business advisors you may have is also a good idea.
There are many books about franchising you may wish to pick up to help you
in determining if franchising is right for you, and if WeAreNetwork™ is
the best route. Two highly recommended books are:
Canada: Buying A Franchise in Canada
USA: Franchising
for Dummies
While you are doing your due diligence, WeAreNetwork™ will be evaluating
your application, considering your qualifications and level of enthusiasm,
and then informing you as to whether or not your application has been approved.
At any time you may decide this is not the right direction for you and step
out of the process.
6. Face to Face Meeting
If after completing step 4, both parties wish to continue, a date will be set
to meet with some of the executives of the company. Initial interviews will
be by phone, followed up by a face-to-face meeting. The exchange of information
is very important to gain mutual confidence, but it's only part of the visit’s
purpose. Another important aspect of our meeting is to ensure that we have
an opportunity to get to know each other, set reasonable expectations and develop
a foundation for our relationship. Upon the successful conclusion of this step,
we will enter into the franchise agreement and begin a new journey that culminates
with the launching of your very own online search business!
If all of this sounds good to you, we invite you to proceed to the
next step...
